Lessons in an automatic
In an automatic you don't change gears yourself. Your attention goes to the road, the traffic and your mirrors.
Why automatic lessons at Safety1st?
- Calm, personal guidance.
- No long waiting times.
- Lessons at your own pace.
- Professional instruction.
What does code 78 mean?
With code 78 on your licence you may only drive a car with an automatic gearbox. To drive a manual car later, you take the practical exam again in a manual car.
Who is automatic for?
For anyone who wants to focus on the traffic, and for anyone who will drive electric later: an electric car has no gears to change.
Automatic or manual?
| Automatic | Manual | |
|---|---|---|
| Clutch and gears | Not needed | You learn them |
| Licence | Code 78: automatics only | Any car |
| Switching later | New practical exam for manual | Not needed |
